Millard South High School is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and hardworking individual to join our Skilled and Technical Sciences (STS) Department as an STS Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a dedicated team player who is passionate about building strong student relationships and preparing our students for future endeavors through practical hands-on learning experiences.

As an STS Teacher, you will:

Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in specialized Skilled and Technical Sciences areas (specific content areas may be discussed during the interview process, but candidates with expertise in areas like metals, woods, construction, or engineering principles are encouraged to apply).
Foster strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and guide to help them discover their interests and aptitudes within the technical fields.
Prepare students for future success by teaching practical, industry-relevant skills, promoting critical thinking, and emphasizing career readiness.
Maintain a safe, organized, and effective laboratory or workshop environment.
Actively collaborate with departmental colleagues and the wider school staff as a key team player to enhance the overall educational experience.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous professional improvement, embracing the hardworking nature of the trade and the teaching profession.
Participate in departmental, school-wide, and district-level professional development and initiatives.
